Description
The companyJoin a leading Australian insurance and financial services organisation embarking on a significant pricing transformation program.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a business that is investing in modern pricing capabilities, advanced analytics and data-led decision making to improve customer and commercial outcomes.
You will be part of a collaborative team supporting the evolution of pricing approaches across key insurance portfolios, working with experienced professionals across pricing, product and the wider business.
The role
This newly created pricing specialist role will play a key part in supporting pricing modernisation initiatives and helping translate pricing insights into commercially effective market outcomes.
Sitting between the technical pricing function and business stakeholders, you will use your analytical capability and insurance knowledge to help interpret pricing outputs, assess performance and support go-to-market pricing decisions.
Key responsibilities:
- Analyse portfolio performance, pricing data and business results to support pricing decisions
- Provide commercial insights and recommendations to support pricing implementation
- Interpret pricing models, assumptions and outputs to help inform business decisions
- Support the transition to more advanced pricing methodologies and approaches
- Partner with stakeholders across pricing, product and business teams
- Identify trends, opportunities and risks through data analysis
- Support reporting, business intelligence and analytics activities
You will be a strong fit for this role if you have:
- Experience within insurance pricing, portfolio analytics, underwriting, product, actuarial support or a similar analytical role
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex information
- A good understanding of insurance pricing concepts and commercial drivers
- The ability to apply a business lens to technical pricing outputs and recommendations
- Strong communication skills and confidence explaining insights to stakeholders
- The ability to work autonomously and quickly make an impact in a newly created role
